Bethany Yamamoto
Founder & Program Director
Bethany Yamamoto is an Atlanta-based coach, athlete, and lifelong lacrosse player with a passion for developing athletes and creating opportunities through sport. With Japanese, Scottish, and Trinidadian heritage, she grew up surrounded by cultural exchange and travel, experiences that shaped her commitment to building inclusive athletic communities. Through lacrosse, both in the United States and internationally, she discovered the sport's unique ability to develop leadership, confidence, resilience, and character alongside athletic excellence.
Working with schools and youth lacrosse programs in China and Italy deepened her belief that sport has the power to connect people across cultures, create meaningful opportunities, and inspire the next generation of athletes and leaders. These experiences shaped a vision beyond coaching—using lacrosse as a platform for leadership, mentorship, global connection, and personal growth, with a commitment to empowering women and girls in sport.
That vision became the foundation of Ascend Global Athletics LLC, an organization dedicated to empowering youth through lacrosse clinics, leadership development, mentorship, global athlete connections, and consulting services for schools, clubs, and organizations. Through every program, Bethany’s mission is to help athletes build the skills, confidence, and character to succeed on and off the field while creating pathways for the next generation of women leaders in sport.

We provide high-quality lacrosse camps, clinics, and athlete development experiences that build skills, confidence, game IQ, and resilience. Through expert coaching and intentional training, athletes develop as players and leaders both on and off the field.
Beyond athletic development, our programs incorporate leadership, mentorship, and global connections to help athletes build meaningful relationships and grow beyond the game.
